a1Sovereign of Streatley, Berkshire took delivery of a brand new Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 – the latest addition to KM’s production portfolio. We are proud to host the UK’s first installation of this new colour press, less than two weeks following KM’s official worldwide launch.
We had been in the market for a new colour production machine since back in the summer. In July we visited Konica Minolta’s Milton Keynes showroom and were impressed by the detail, solids and consistency of the 3070 output, after running samples using our regular substrates.
On learning the Konica Minolta AccurioPress 4080 series was imminent and having grown our business with various Konica Minolta machines over the past fifteen years, there was no doubt in our minds as to which of the ‘big four’ brands we would be buying into once again.
Versatile substrate handling, expandability and an all-important familiar workflow
a1Sovereign print onto a variety of substrates, coated and uncoated, as well as more adventurous product such as SRA3 self-adhesive laser film from Kernow Coatings. The latter enables us to quickly and simply produce stickers and decals using dry toner process, versus the old fashioned way of wide format inkjet on more expensive vinyl substrates.
As with most print & fulfilment businesses, the ability to adapt to client demands and trends is critical to our success. Investing in the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 gives a1Sovereign the all important assurance that we can continue to grow and provide what our customers want.
Whilst we have a comprehensive offline finishing setup, it is likely that in 12-18 months we may add module/s on the input side, such as an extra wide paper deck, bypass & banner capability. The only limit really is physical space!
Using the KM workflow we already understand and just learning new enhancements and tweaks will be highly invaluable.
Great support from KM and IBS
Our KM dealer, IBS of Henley, were truly supportive from the initial enquiry stage, arranging and attending the showroom visit with us and advising/recommending on our optimum machine configuration.
IBS also supplied and look after our Konica Minolta Pro951 mono production machine and a C454e MFP in the office.
Additional advice and support from KM has been first class. Delivery and installation of the machine was faultless and carried out with military precision.
We now look forward to putting our Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 through its paces on the job.
